The Sauteed Fillet Rod Cod with Black Pepper Sauce is a great traditional dish. A lot of Chinese restaurants tend to deep fry their stuff comes out sauggy; but this one was not at all! Plus, the fried garlic stuff is the best thing in the world! Its best with just rice alone or eat it along with the rod cod.
I was surprised on how much I liked this dish. I usually like the fish grilled or steamed because I like the fish meat to be very tender. Since this was deep fried I didn't expect the meat to be tender. But, it totally WAS! Yummy! It was crunchy on the outside, but incredibly tender on the inside, the cod also tasted very fresh! I also like the black pepper sauce, it gave the flavor a good kick to it and went really well with rice! A must try if you like Chinese fish dishes! China Max got this dish down!!!
