Dishizzle is a new, fun, and simple website which solves the common problem when dining out: "What should I order?" or "What is good here?"
The reviews are dish-centric and not about the restaurant's appearance, waiter's attitude, or reviewer's mood. It should be all about the food -- and it is!
It's simple, review what you eat! Submit new dishes or review existing dishes that you have tried and don't forget to upload dishes and restaurant photos.
Featured Dishes are dishes that are sponsored by local restaurants.
The featured dishes will be frequently updated to introduce new and yet to be discovered dishes in your city -- so you can explore your palate!
Kicking off in our home town, San Diego! We will then be expanding to other cities as foodies unite!
We want to underscore the local community rather than focusing on big national corporations. This ecosystem would benefit the members, the local restaurants, and Dishizzle being the catalyst -- its a win-win for everyone!
The Dish Wizard is a fun, easy, and interactive tool to use. It will help you find great dishes and narrow down your search. Select from many different categories: Top Dishes, Cheap & Good, Wine & Dine, Random, and My Palate. Narrow your search down even more by using the filters on the left side of the Dish Wizard page.
Description of each category:
- Top Dishes: Highly rated dishes with lots of reviews
- Cheap & Good: Cheap dishes with great ratings
- Wine & Dine: Highly rated dishes at high end restaurants
- Random Dish: Not sure what to eat? Let us help you find a dish!
- My Palate: Using your palate tags on your user profile, we will generate a list of dishes that fit your palate
Dishizzle Points are points that members earn each time they write a review and upload photos. Points are redeemable for restaurant gift certificate.
Earning points is easy; simply create a free account with www.dishizzle.com. Each time you write a concise review you earn 1 point. Each time you upload a photo of a dish or restaurant you earn 1 point. Points will automatically be awarded to your account after successful submission.
* Write a review on a dish = 1 point
* Upload a photo of the dish or the restaurant = 1 point
What makes a better gift for foodies than a restaurant gift certificate? You will need to earn a minimum of 50 Dishizzle Points to redeem a gift certificate.
*50 Dishizzle Points = $25.00 gift certificate from Restaurant.com
Once you have earned enough points to redeem a gift certificate, a 'Redeem Points' button will be displayed below your points total on your profile page.
1. Select the "Redeem user points" button
2. Submit the form with a quick message stating you would like to redeem your 50 points for a $25 restaurant.com gift certificate.
3. Once approved, we will send you your gift certificate by e-mail.
Please allow 7-10 business days to process your redemption.
