Tampiquena

Top sirloin steak and a cheese enchilada ranchera. Served with sour cream, guacamole and beans. Nice presentation, plenty for my eyes to soak in. I ordered the steak to be cooked medium rare, with a nice pink in the center. The steak was not impressive, somewhat lacking in flavor, which did not cover up a certain aroma I tasted while eating it. Luckily the guacamole was delicious and complimented the meat well enough. The cheese enchilada ranchera was deicious. Oozing cheese in the center, wrapped in tortilla and topped with a ranchera type relish. The flavor of the ranchera atop took this enchilada to the next level for me. It made the usual cheese enchilada fun to eat. Next time, I will look for the enchilada ranchera but with a different entree, not the steak.
