Lightly breaded with Panko exterior (I hate crab cakes that are so breaded that there's more breadcrumbs than crab) made it light and crispy. Very nice with a hint of tang from the lemon aoli. Not greasy and breaded as some other places. You can taste the actual crab which I liked! A great starter dish!
" Fresh dungeness crab, Japanese panko breadcrumbs and Meyer lemon aioli " This is the description on the menu for the crab cakes. It was average for me. I love crab cakes, so I'm pretty picky with them. This is not one of the best, but it was good. I thought it can use a little more flavor and the portion was a little small. I know it was an appetizer, but when I eat crab cakes, I like to take a big bite, and when it's small bites, you can really taste the flavor as much. maybe they can make it one bog crab cake, instead of two little ones, so it's easier to eat. Over all, it was good. The experience at the restaurant was worth the visit. Their entree is definitely more worth it then the appetizer.
