Local Black Mussels

Mussels always tempt me to order as a starter, so of course I had to try it here. Pretty dissapointing though. I know it has coconut milk in it but it was lot heavier than what I expected or am use to. The broth had a strong coconut taste that I felt like I was eating a Thai Curry dish instead. It was also a little bit too sweet to be paired with mussels however the mussels were cooked very well. That part was great- it was not rubbery or overcooked. Just wished they had it prepared differently.
